Alpenröst

There was a time when these were THE best option for larger roasts. But Alpenrosts can be tricky
to work with and diligent cleaning is a must. For the sensitive user they are great
machine, however anyone looking at a 'set it and forget' type machine... this isn't it.

 The
Alpenröst will roast as much as 8 oz of green coffee beans
at a single time, Enough to last an average family about a week,
or enough to fill an automatic espresso machine. Simply load the
green beans into the roasting drum, close the lid, set your desired
roast and touch the 'on' button. The Alpenröst will automatically
cycle through the roasting and 'cool down' process, and then expel
the beans into the bean cup. The Alpenröst has 15 roast settings
allowing you to personally select your favorite roast from a light
cinnamon roast, to a dark French roast.
With flow through air ventilation the Alpenröst not only separates
the chaff from the roasted beans but also keeps the machine 'cool
to the touch' during the roasting process.
The Alpenröst is designed to operate virtually noise free.
Be aware however that the adjustable ventilation port on the Alpenröst
must be vented externally by using a counter-top vent or stove-top
range hood.
While roasting, the exterior of the Alpenröst remains cool
to the touch. Once the roasting and cool down cycles are complete,
the roasting drum has cooled enough to make it safe to handle.
The stainless steel roasting drum, plastic bean cup, chaff collector,
and ventilation port are all dishwasher safe.
The Alpenröst is currently available in 110V (60 Hz), and
in the fall will be available in 220V (50 Hz). Physical Dimensions
are: 8" wide by 16" long by 8" tall.
