Product Description

A pre blend of Yemen Mocca, Ethiopian Harrar, and Ethiopian Natural Sidamo (although on occasion Ghimbi may be used instead). Its one of those blends that defy logic.

Blending is usually an opportunity to bring different continents together, rather than mix coffees from the same area. But in this case, the three beans turn into an extremely winey and complex cup.

The chocolate taste hidden in the Harrar, the fruitiness of the Yemen Mocca, the wild nature of all three coffees.... Just great! (Watch out, Felucca Blend contains some smallish beans which may catch in the drum of your Behmor.) Very versatile; it's good in a drip, press, or vac pot, and it also does well as espresso.

Give it a good 24 to 48 hours of rest if you can resist the aroma, because that's when the Yemen will really come into it's own." See the blog for roasting tips and more information about this blend.

  1. This is some of the best coffee I have tasted. Review by jp All my reviews  (1)

Immediately after I roasted my first batch I thought, well, not much of a coffee scent. I store all freshly ground coffee in a glass bowl with tight plastic top. The next am, wow, the fragrance was awesome. And the taste! Absolutely delicious. Two days later, there was an even more intense flavor and coffee fragrance. Love this! (Posted on 10/12/11)

This blend is just perfect. Depending on how you roast it, there is plenty of chocolate and cinnamon that comes through. I've tried this everywhere from barely 2nd crack all the way up to a dark French roast and loved every batch. The chocolate is especially easy to pick up if you grind a few beans as soon as they've cooled and enjoy a cup right then. Every day between roasting and grinding/drinking adds a little something different.

I roast in the oven so that I don't get a completely uniform roast. The varying degrees of roast just adds another layer to the flavor of the beans. Espresso machine. (Posted on 7/6/11)

Makes a great espresso, drip, or French press. Stands up to a darker roast but retains its complexity more when not so dark. Let it rest a good couple of days. (Posted on 10/4/10)
